My Dearest Friends,
How are you? Alexandra here, what a strange time we are all living in. We hope you and your families are staying healthy and positive, wherever in the world you may be.
For todays blog we wish to give you some escapism with our own ‘Sewing Book Club’ reading list! I started my own book club with the women in my family and I thought it would be lovely to start one with you. And yes of course it is sewing themed!
I love reading and so I have complied a list of books for you themed around sewing. The majority of the books on the list are available for kindle download as well in audio book format so you can listen while you sew or download to your kindle for this evening.
Whats wonderful about these books is the majority of them are centre around strong, creative, stylish and badass women who can sew just like the members of our very own sewing community! 😻
I haven’t had the chance to read any of the books on our list just yet however Caroline has read ‘The Seamstress’ by Maria Duenas and described it as… ‘sewing porn’… You’re welcome…
Another book on our list is ‘The Dressmaker’ by Rosalie Ham which has been made into a film staring Kate Winslet which is definitely worth a watch! The costumes are divine.
